Conservation Laws, Interfaces, and Mixing

David Wood

  •  4 Nov 2019 - 8 Nov 2019
     8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Organisers:
Snezhana Abarzhi (University of Western Australia)
Alik Nepomnyashchy (Technion, Israel)
Anthony Roberts (University of Adelaide)
Joseph Klewicki (University of Melbourne)

Program Description:
The Program will focus on fundamental properties of interfacial transport and mixing that couples kinetic to macroscopic scales, and on conservation laws and boundary value problems. It will provide the unique opportunity to bring together mathematicians and scientists from applied mathematics, applied analysis, dynamical and complex systems, stochastic processes and data analysis, dynamics of fluid and plasmas, industrial mathematics and material science. The Program will motivate the discussions of rigorous mathematical problems, theoretical approaches and state-of-the-art numerical simulations along with advanced data analysis techniques. The participants include leading experts and researchers at experienced and early stages of their careers from Australia and abroad.
