Happy New Year!
 
MATRIX welcomes the University of Queensland as full Partner since 2024 and the University of New South Wales as Associate Member from 2025 onward in a national consortium that also includes the Australian National University, Monash University and the University of Melbourne.
 
With current pressures on the sector as a whole, we are extremely grateful for this continued and sustained support and celebrate the recognition of MATRIX as essential national research infrastructure for the mathematical sciences. 
 
MATRIX has commenced the new year in full swing and is looking forward to a very busy year with 18 new research programs scheduled over 30 weeks, as well as two PhD symposia and a graduate winter school in collaboration with AMSI.
 
We hope to see you soon at MATRIX as participant or organiser, and don’t forget to read our newsletter profiling some of our colleagues.
