The AMSI-MATRIX Winter School is set for an engaging two-week program designed for postgraduate students, early-career researchers, and industry professionals in the mathematical sciences. This annual event provides a deep dive into contemporary research, featuring insights from leading national and international experts. Participants will explore open problems and advanced techniques within a themed framework.

For the first time, AMSI is collaborating with The University of Newcastle to design the academic program, while MATRIX will host the event in Creswick. The 2025 theme, “Mathematics for Action: Supporting Decision-Making for a Better Future,” will highlight the role of mathematics in tackling real-world challenges and informing critical decisions.

Beyond lectures, attendees can engage in networking and collaborative opportunities through social events, specialized talks, participant presentations, and problem-solving sessions.
