Congratulations to Chief Investigators Jan de Gier, Peter Bouwknegt, David Wood and Joseph Grotowski on their successful ARC Linkage Infrastructure, Equipment and Facilities (LIEF LE22) application for MATRIX.
The LIEF scheme provides funding for research infrastructure, equipment and facilities to eligible organisations.
The scheme enables researchers to participate in cooperative initiatives so that expensive research infrastructure, equipment and facilities can be shared between higher education organisations and also with industry.
The scheme also fosters collaboration through its support of the cooperative use of international or national research facilities.
Project title: MATRIX: enhancing access to global research in the mathematical sciences
1. To enhance the provision of coordinated access to the MATRIX research facility and enable deep, impactful collaborations and exchanges with world leading researchers in the mathematical sciences to improve access to globally created new knowledge.
2. To enhance the provision of coordinated access to the MATRIX research facility to improve the impact of Australian based research.
3. To reduce barriers to collaboration through the use of advanced new interactive technology.
