Program Description: Nonlocal and fractional problems have attracted an increasing interest in recent years, especially within the fields of partial differential equations and geometry. Among other nonlocal operators, the fractional Laplacian has been intensively studied from different perspectives including existence and nonexistence results, regularity theory, viscosity solution theory, geometric and variational inequalities, etc.

The research program will cover recent developments in the area of classical and nonlocal equations from various perspectives, including minimal surfaces, geometric flows, fluid dynamics, and crystal dislocations. This broad approach and the convergence of diverse expertise will be pivotal in recognising common foundations across fields where remote interactions play a decisive role in pattern formation at multiple scales. We believe that the event will stimulate new research
by bringing together efforts to tackle challenging problems through combined methodologies of mathematical analysis and geometry.

This research program is intended to engage the next generation of researchers in this field, providing early career mathematicians with the opportunity to participate in an innovative research. The event will serve as a springboard for new approaches and creative strategies to nonlocal phenomena, possibly bridging the gaps between distinct mathematical areas. This will be realized through the teaching of focused minicourses leaded by internationally recognized experts in the field of nonlocal equations, the organization of seminars hosted by talented young mathematicians, and collaborative research endeavors in a motivating and creative environment.
