Program Description:
This program will aim at gathering experts at an international scale on very active areas of research: birational geometry in positive and mixed characteristic, moduli theory, K-stability and Hodge theory. The program’s main goal is to promote discussion and collaboration on these increasingly specialised and yet deeply interconnected branches of the field.
This program will follow a series of mini-courses in Sydney given by leading researchers in these areas, on the below topics:
- Moduli problems and stability – invited speakers: Caucher Birkar (Cambridge), Christopher Hacon (Utah), Sándor Kovács (Washington), and Chenyang Xu (Princeton)
- Algebraic geometry in positive and mixed characteristics – invited speakers: Hélène Esnault (Berlin) and Paolo Cascini (Imperial)
- Deformation of varieties through Hodge theory – invited speakers: Mark De Cataldo (Stony Brook) and Christian Schnell (Stony Brook)
