Program Description:
The program shall bring together scientists from very different fields to discuss similar problems that deals with structured random matrices. For this purpose, it is advantageous to bring the whole spectrum from mathematicians to physicists and engineers in contact. The contrast between models and real life problems should show in which direction the models have to be further developed. The three main foci on which this should be achieved are:

  • To identify and study ideal observables for tensor structures like tensor products in quantum information or embedded random matrices in many-body systems
  • Development of a harmonic analysis approach to polynomials of random matrices
  • The impact correlated random matrices have on the same fields

During the three-week program, the first and third weeks will focus on collaborations and research. The second week will take the form of a workshop presenting the state of the art of the field of structured matrices in its full breath and giving the researchers the opportunity to demonstrate their results.
